Brush away those toxins!

We all know that the largest organ in the human body is the skin and most of the time during the winter season we tend to feel a lot of dryness resulting from indoor heaters, dehydration or harsh shower gels. Experiencing some of these conditions I decided to go out and buy a body brush. I have been brushing for over a week now and have  already felt the benefits of this soft bristle brush. The main purpose of body brushing is to exfoliate the skin removing all dead or dry skin cells in the epidermis leaving it smooth and silky( it is anti-aging, helps decrease stretch marks and the appearance of cellulite). It also helps by increasing circulation, moving the lymphatic system into cleansing the body. The best time to body brush would be first thing in the morning, just before you take your shower…try brushing upwards starting at the feet and moving up towards the heart with gentle strokes. Please remember not to brush over sensitive or broken skin, varicose veins or skin allergies. You may want to moisturize afterwards using either almond, avocado or sesame oil.
